There are two sides, the Caribbean and the Pacific. We concentrate on the Pacific side. The area we will surf in is about 4 hours drive from Panama City or 40 min flight.
The dry season- November to March. No rain, tropical warmth. This season has low swell and high winds but still good for surfing, especially for beginners. The relatively small waves reach up to 1.5 meters.
Wet season- March- October, Very rainy, less wind, much higher waves, more suitable for advanced surfers Tropical weather : Temp 22-23 C at night and up to 30 C during the day. Water temp 27 C
Large variety of break types, and levels. We get beach breaks and reef breaks. Suitable for: Long board, fun board, short board, SUP All surf levels Also amazing for flat water SUP in mangroves, rivers etc.
There is a wide range of accommodation options, including luxurious villas on the beach, and a wide range of Guest house style accommodation.
Although the traditional local food is not so impressive, the many foreigners who have settled there and run restaurants ensure that you will enjoy great food during your stay.
There are various size surfboard & SUP available for rental on site, at relatively low cost. There are also fixing services available
